Abundant Blessings... Greatful Hearts...His Healing Hand

Hello Friends... It's been a while since I've been available to post due to several things within my life.

For an update:

In mid March, I had to go to the hospital for an iron/blood infusion treatment. For the past six months my hemaglobin continued to drop making the fatigue even greater for me. After the infusion I regained a little more energy. Next, my insurance company made an error in filing my last claim and this prevented me from receiving my current NEEDED infusion of Remicade. It was delayed for two weeks and three days. This created a build up of inflamation within my body causing my joints and feet to swell and hurt. However, during this time God gave me a second wind to keep me going !

In February, my youngest daughter Astormy had an outpatient D&C due to pre cancer within her uterus. This was to help releave heavy monthly problems as well. On March 30 , she had to be admitted for a hysterectomy due to biopsy indicating uterine cancer. Astormy had an adominal insision due to location and previous polysystic ovarian syndrome.

Needless to say... this was a very hard time for us all. As with everything else, GOD came through giving me the strength to go back and forth to the hospital for 3 days.. to keep Gstormy each night and get her off to school each morning. On the 3rd day after surgery, we got the pathology report...it was cancer ....but it was all contained within the uterus as the doctor had stated after surgery . PRAISE GOD !!!

Astormy and Gstormy came over and stayed for 3 weeks so that I could help take care of the two of them.This saved on me having to go to and from her house to mine with the caregiving and cooking. Her husband came by after work to visit nightly.

I can't PRAISE GOD enough for all that he provided for us all during Astormy's recovery.


He gave me the strength to get Gstormy's homework, bath at night and get her ready for the bus by 6:40 a.m. each day . On April 8th I received my Remicade infusion ...it was wonderful to know that I was getting a little relief with my pain. Once again, God touch me and blessed me with healing. I was up and going in one day after treatment... this was a blessing...it usually takes me 4-5 days before I have energy enough to get going again.

Another blessing was sent our way by two precious women that work with Astormy. These ladies prepared 2 meals a day so that all I needed to do was heat and serve. We had homemade chicken salad, potato salad,huge cressant, sub sandwich (everything needed), homemade spaghetti and meat balls, 2 huge frozen pizzas, a tray of pringles chip cups, homemade brownies, chocolate chip cookies, all of the paper utensils needed. The second round consist of Lancaster's BBQ, Stoffer's Lazanna dinner, Stoffer's Chicken Alfrado dinner, 2 containers of cookies, etc.

His LOVE was so apparent in each of these wonderful ladies. Whatever we needed HE supplied it in a miraclious way.

At Astormy's post opp visit the doctor told her that at 3 weeks she was healed as that of a 6 week post opp patient. GOD"S HEALING HAND !!!!

Both of the girls have returned to their home and lifestyle as have I. My next problem to face is for the gastrointestional doctor to find where the blood has gone with the upper and lower GI Scopes. This had to be put on hold until my girls made it through the surgery and recovery. I will see this doctor on April 29 th....then he will decide when to do the procedures in the GI tracks.

Happy Valentine's Day !! My Special Valentine

My Ultimate Gift

I see it as my special VALENTINE from David!

On this Autum afternoon I was at a Creative Memories Crop at Bhazy's home. Our work session had been under way for several hours when we hear the door bell ring. To our surprise, it was David with a surprise for me. Talking about being really surprised... I was amazed!

I placed the original paper and bow in my scrapbook.

As David placed the box in my hand he said, "Angela, I have a little something for you." I opened the package to find a beautiful gold locket.

The original sales receipt was also placed in my scrapbook.

Gstormy said, " Ahhhhh, pretty."

The locket will hold 4 pictures- 2 on the outside and 2 on the floating heart on the inside. At first, I had pictures of David, Bhazy, Astormy and Gstormy. Then after Khazy was born I placed his picture over David's.

Next I went into the room where David and Gstormy were playing. David always played silly games with Gstormy like this one where he put a CM bag on his head for a hat. She laughed and laughed at her Gramp's.Little did I know at this point in time that the picture below would be a kiss that would have to last my lifetime.

Two months prior to this day I had just mentioned one day that I would like to get a locket some day to put the girls and grandchildren in. It was only mentioned that one time...that's the way the love of my life paid attention to what was being said.

That evening after I returned home David was asleep on the couch so I didn't wake him because he was working the following Sunday. So, I just came in took my medicine and went on to bed early. Around 4:30a.m. I went to the bathroom and noticed that he still wasn't in the bed. I went into the living room and found David asleep on the floor like he would do on occasions. He was to be at work at 5:00 a.m. I then called him however, he didn't move. So I knelled down, touched his arm and called him again, then I realized that he had gone home to be with the Lord.

This was very frighting... however, God gave the strength to endure what was ahead and David gave me an Ultimate Gift to say my LOVE will always be with you.

A Valentine's Day Gift Idea for Parents and Grandparents

On Valentine's Day I wanted to do something for Khazy and Gstormy that was unexpected and unique from Gran. This early February morning I ventured out to our new mall and visited the Build-A-Bear Workshop. Upon entering the workshop, I asked the two young ladies if they would help me built two of the Red Valentine's Day Sweet Hugs & Kisses Bears. Immediately, they said yes follow us. We selected two bears and moved to the record a sound booth. I recorded a message to each one of my grandchildren in a small backroom in the workshop . 1. "My Sweet Pea Girl...always remember that Gran Loves You." 2. "My Little Man...always remember that Gran Loves You." Now, it was time to pick out a heart for each bear. I kissed the heart and made a special wish for that child. As the bears were filled with stuffing each heart was put into place. Next, we stopped at the air bath/grooming station. We had completed the bear building task now, I had to create each Bear's Birth Certificate. Finally, it was time for purchase where each bear was placed in it's temporary house box. This was a very fulfilling experience for me that added another dimension to memory keeping as a Gran. Later, that afternoon after Gstormy came home from school Khazy and his Mom came over for a Surprise Gift. If you could have seen the amazement on the faces of these two children when they recognized my voice inside of their bears.

My grandchildren love those bears and have asked me on several occasions...."Gran, how did you get inside my bear to talk to me?" Big Smile : )

Times like these are true Happiness ...Oh, the Joy of Being A Gran !

The Many Bridges In Our Lives

Today I am trying to bounce back into daily blogging. It may be simple and small in the beginning , hopefully I will get back into the rhythm of bigger and better posts within the next few days and weeks.

Thinking over the time that I was away from blogging, I was reminded of how all things in life connect between two points or people. Immediately an image of bridges appeared within my minds eyes. Many types of bridges came to me as I reflected back over the past six months.

The list that I came up with was astounding. Below I will share with you my list of bridges. Many of them you may not think of as a bridge until you make a reflection back on your life.

Our salvation is our bridge to Heaven

God's word is our bridge to our relationship with God

God's Love is our bridge to each other and life

Pastor of a congregation is a bridge between the church members and God's teachings

Sunday school teachers are a bridge in Christian growth from babies through senior adults

Church members are a bridge to the community

Love is our bridge to all things

Parents are a bridge for their children

Great Grandparents and Grandparents are bridges to all of the family

Brothers and sisters are a bridge for each other

Family members are a bridge to the child's growth and character

Friends are a bridge to knowing ourselves better and to offer support

Doctor's and nurses are a bridge to health and health care

Hospital is a bridge to a person's birth, healing and wellness

Lab Techs, Radiology Techs, etc. are all bridges for the doctors providing information or data

Medicine is our bridge to a better quality of life while dealing with life's issues

Teachers are a bridge to a student's knowledge and future

Schools are a bridge between knowledge and growth while the child is away from home

School buses are a bridge between some children and an education

Perhaps in time I will expand on this post with more detail in some of the items on the list. For now I hope that this post is thought provoking for you as it was for me.
